Meghan grew up on a farm in Ohio, where her passion for agriculture and conservation started at a young age. She received a B.S. in Environmental Science from Ohio State and M.S. in Agronomy from Purdue. From graduate school, she moved to Louisiana where she started her career with NRCS as a Soil Conservationist. She started her Ohio NRCS journey back in March 2020 in the Urbana Field Office. As of January 4, 2021 she became the District Conservationist for Greene and Warren counties.
NRCS offers financial and technical assistance through conservation practices to help agricultural producers make and maintain improvements on their land. The 2018 Farm Bill offers programs such as the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) – these programs provide funds for producers to implement necessary conservation on their land. Producers from all types of agricultural backgrounds – forest, crop, and livestock - look to NRCS for assistance on their operations. Reach out to us and see how we can help.
